Sephiria Weapons
All 6 weapon branches in Sephiria, with their real attack values, defining mechanics, and the upgrade routes each one opens up.
Attack values are the in-game damage multipliers for each attack type. Every branch has 50+ upgrades, and the full set runs to more than 200.
Sword & Shield
Balanced melee · Easy
The most beginner-friendly weapon. Its standard attack is a three-hit combo, and the shield lets you guard incoming hits — press attack while guarding to unleash a sweeping special that strikes in every direction. Moderate attack speed and medium stagger make it effective in almost every situation.
Greatsword
Heavy melee · Medium
Trades speed for weight. Swing animations are slow, but every hit lands hard with wide coverage, and the special attack is a spinning slash that sweeps a large area — devastating against packed groups. Its heavy stagger turns boss encounters into a matter of interrupting patterns.
Dagger
Fast melee · Hard
The fastest weapon in the game, built for constant movement and aggressive play. Individual hits are weak with limited stagger, so you have to lean on dodges and counters. Instead of a standard special it uses a Parry and a high-value Fury attack, which makes it a natural fit for critical-hit builds.
Katana
also listed as Blade
Stance melee · Medium
A melee branch built around stance flow. The special attack button swaps you between Sword stance and Kick stance: Sword stance handles standard attacks, while the alternate stance opens a wider-reaching special that consumes MP. It rewards precise timing and clean combo execution.
Crossbow
Ranged · Easy to Medium
The pick for fighting from a safe distance. Arrows can pierce up to two enemies, which makes it strong against grouped targets. The trade-offs matter: firing slows your movement by roughly 40%, and once the magazine is empty you are stuck reloading and completely exposed.
Staff
Magic · Medium
The most versatile branch, mixing offense, defence and elemental synergy, and it pairs especially well with Ice, Storm and Fire builds. Unlike several other weapons it lets you fire special attacks regardless of the delay between normal attacks, which keeps combat flowing. Its normal range is slightly shorter than Sword & Shield, but the final combo hit is a long-reaching thrust.
A note on Katana vs Blade
This branch was first previewed as Katana, and most guides still use that name. TEAM HORAY later listed it as Blade. Both refer to the same weapon route, so we keep both labels. If your in-game build is version 1.0 or newer, expect to see Blade.
Upgrade Branches & Named Forms
Weapons do not evolve by collecting a set of artifacts. Instead, each branch holds 50+ upgrades that you take from Anvil rooms during a run, and individual weapons transform at higher relic tiers into named forms that change how they play. These are the forms community sources report most often — treat them as a map of what to look for, not as a fixed recipe.
Sword & Shield
Opens into routes such as Carrot Sword, Conductor, Frost Shard, Incendium and Magic Wand, with Tier 3 final forms reported as Carrotcalibur, Glacial Blade and Wings of Lightning.
Greatsword
Best-documented branch. Reported forms include Thor Greatsword S3G, Red Snake Crusher, Frostbound Greatsword (Eternal Frost), Lightning Greatsword E2G, Swarming Shadow and Crimson Thorn.
Dagger
Fewer offers, so plan around what you are given. Lightning Dagger is the named form most often reported for this branch.
Katana / Blade
Formless Dance is the named route most commonly reported. As the branch was renamed mid-development, older guides may list forms under either name.
Crossbow
Colossal Crossbow is the explicitly named record for this branch. Reload-focused names such as Reload Crossbow and Frozen Bow reflect the magazine mechanic.
Staff
The magic route expanded through the Destiny Inscription update. Solis Missio is among the reported routes; exact branch ownership for several Staff names is still unverified in-game.
Anvil Rooms
Weapon upgrades come from Anvil rooms inside the tower. Which branch the tower offers you is weighted, so some builds simply come together more often than others.
Enchantment Altars
Artifacts are levelled up at Enchantment altars rather than Anvils, so your route through a floor decides whether you power up your weapon or your inventory first.
The Journal
Press Esc to open the Journal. It lists every weapon, upgrade, artifact and Miracle you have unlocked, which makes it the best place to sketch a build before the tower offers anything.
