Greatsword trades speed for raw power. Every swing is a commitment, but a well-placed heavy can wipe a pack or chunk a boss by a third of its health. The Colossus Cleave build leans into that fantasy: high Defense to survive the long wind-ups, and massive special damage to make each hit count.
This is not a beginner weapon. You will get punished for greedy swings. But once you learn spacing and timing, few things in Sephiria feel as satisfying as a fully charged Greatsword special.
Why It Works
Because each hit is so large, percentage-based damage boosts are worth more here than on fast weapons. A +20% bonus on a tiny Dagger tick is nothing; the same bonus on a Greatsword cleave is enormous. Stack Special Attack Damage and True Damage.
Survival First
The danger is the long recovery frames. You need enough Defense and Life Steal to eat a counterhit and keep going. Treat the Greatsword like a deflecting tank that occasionally unleashes a cannon.
